Meredith began her dance training at the age of 3, under the instruction of Judy Menna. She focused primarily on ballet, tap, and jazz, and later broadened her knowledge in the art of lyrical, modern, and contemporary. Meredith has her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Dance Studio Management with a minor in Business from Eastern Michigan University. While there, she studied Graham, Limon, Horton, and Cunningham techniques. She is a certified instructor of the Cecchetti method of ballet, which is renowned for training professional and knowledgable ballet dancers. Meredith has participated in many professional workshops and seminars, including the Cecchetti Council of America summer seminar at Hope College. Miss Meredith teaches ballet, Cecchetti, lyrical, jazz, tap, contemporary, and pointe.
Charlie Howard grew up in the Metro Detroit area where he studied under the direction of multiple instructors and choreographers. His focus was primarily jazz, lyrical, ballet, and tap with a heavy concentration on the competition circuit. He is a passionate instructor who is knowledgeable in training and strengthening dancers to go on to a professional level if they so desire. He is a certified instructor in the renowned Cecchetti ballet method. Mr. Charlie began teaching at Trenton School of Dance in 2012 as a guest choreographer and became a faculty member a year later. He draws his daily inspiration from the students, who continue to show a desire to improve and grow in their dancing.
Miss Maria began her dance training at the age of 3 under the instruction of Judy Menna and Meredith Shamanski at Trenton School of Dance. Her training was primarily focused in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, and Cecchetti along Hip Hop, Hawaiian, and Tahitian dance. She is currently an Honors student pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Dance with a minor in Business at Wayne State University. She has been further trained in Modern and Contemporary styles, Pointe, Improvisation, Afro-Modern Dance, Contemporary Ballet, and African dance. She has also performed as a Guest Artist with Robinson Dance Co., which is a pre-professional company directed by Charlie Howard. As a dancer at Wayne State, she'shad the opportunity to learn from world-renowned choreographers and ballet masters including Meg Paul, Trey McIntyre, Eddie Taketa, Nathan Trice, Larry Lavendar, and Garth Fagan. She is a certified instructor of the Cecchetti Method of Ballet and has attended their Summer Seminar at Hope College. She is also currently working towards completing her certification in the Stott Method of Pilates. She is especially interested in the kinesiology of dance, which includes topics such as the anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, injury management, and conditioning methods for dancers.
Sarah has been dancing since the age of 4, and began her training at Trenton School of Dance 5 years later, where she remained until she graduated. She now attends Wayne State University working towards her Bachelor of Science degree in dance. Her training is focused primarily in ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary. At Wayne State, she is continuing her studies with an additional focus in Modern and African. Sarah is continuing to progress in her training and is constantly learning new methods and techniques that she is excited to implement in her classes at Trenton School of Dance!
